Applying for Scholarships
All incoming international students who are admitted are automatically considered for scholarships.
Scholarship selection criteria vary, but can include academic performance, standardized test scores, class rank, and a student’s essay responses on the application for admission. Academic criteria are based on the cumulative unweighted GPA (4.0 scale). These criteria are intended to provide parameters from which scholarship committees make award selections.
Students who apply for admission by February 1 of their senior year in high school will receive maximum scholarship consideration. Funding is limited, and awards cannot be guaranteed for students who apply for admission after February 1.
Scholarship Deadlines
- Feb 1 - priority scholarship deadline for students entering OSU for the fall semester. To be considered for all scholarships at OSU you must apply for admission prior to February 1. Applications received after this date may not be considered for all scholarship programs and will be considered only if funds remain available.
- July 1 - absolute scholarship deadline for students entering OSU for the fall semester. Once this date has passed OSU will no longer make scholarship offers to entering students; all information must have been postmarked prior to July 1.
- The Friday before the spring semester begins at OSU - absolute scholarship deadline for students entering OSU in the spring. Once this date has passed OSU will no longer make scholarship offers to entering students; all information must have been postmarked prior to the Friday before the spring semester begins at OSU.
